About Me

UTEP enterance https://www.utep.edu/university-communications/_Files/images/banner_campus.jpg

My journey in CS began during my sophomore year in high school with an introductory programming class. Although in this class simple animated music videos and games were created using Alice 3 it helped me realize that I wanted to learn more about coding. And since that class, my curiosity for CS began to grow at a rate of 2n.

Some of the courses that I took during my undergraduate studies include:
  • Elementary Data Structures and Algorithms
  • Data Structures
  • Computer Architecture I
  • Data Mining
  • Database Managment
  • Computer Networks
  • Matrix Algebra
  • Numerical Analysis
Another one of my interests includes Astronomy and space. Before I decided to pursue CS, I had my heart set on studying Aerospace engineering to potentially pursue my dream of becoming an astronaut and visiting Mars. I occasionally use my telescope to view objects in space and take pictures of them.

Projects

This is a small collection of personal projects and school projects throughout my Computer Science education and career.

The Scanning and Enumeration Tool (SEA) was a senior project that started in September 2020 (CS4310) until May 2021 (CS4311). The first semester consisted of identifying and creating the requirements for the project thru various requirements analysis techniques. The second phase consisted of the implementation of the requirements. This included techniques associated with software design, implementation and testing of a software system.
The SEA tool provides the ability to standardize and automate in the reconnaissance phase in penetrating testing with the use of selected scanning and enumeration tools (nmap, Nessus, etc), including customized software and scripts, run custom commands per tool, report results to the analysts in a useful manner, and export results in XML format.

UTEP Computer Science Department Inventory Database (Jan-May 2018)
A course project for Database Management where groups of 4 developed a SQL database with a PHP front end for the CS department at UTEP to log inventory and manage equipment rentals for staff, faculty, and students. Reports were generated into Excel .xlsx files and graphs were generated inn the website front-end.
